These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to PlantSnap: Plant Identifier ("the App", "we", "us"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. We have created these Terms to explain how the App may be used and what you can expect from us when you use it.
We may collect any personal information which specifically identifies you as an individual and might include your Name, Email Address and Phone Number. PlantSnap: Plant Identifier will utilise your personal information to notify you about updates on the App, communicate with you regarding your account, or provide offers.
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our App. Non-personal identification information may include the device model, operating system, app usage data, crash logs, and other similar technical information.

We use this information to operate, maintain, and provide to you the features and functionality of our App, as well as to communicate directly with you, such as to send you email messages and push notifications. The App may request permissions such as Camera Usage, Photo Library Usage, and Location When In Use, depending on the feature you use.
We use the OpenAI ChatGPT API to enhance the functionality of the PlantSnap: Plant Identifier app. The ChatGPT API processes image data you upload to provide more accurate plant identification results. Please be aware of the following details regarding the data shared with the ChatGPT API:
We adopt appropriate data collection, storage, and security measures to protect against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored on our App.
The App, the Services, or related sites may contain links to third-party websites. We may provide such links as a service to our Users. When you click on a third-party link, you may leave the App. This Policy does not address, and we are not responsible for, the privacy practices of websites operated by third parties, whether they are linked to or otherwise accessible from the App. The inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement of such third-party website by us.
We cannot control the actions of other Users with whom you share your information. We are not responsible for third-party circumvention of our security measures.
We are very concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We employ administrative, physical, and electronic measures designed to protect your information from unauthorised access and use. Please be aware that no security measure we take is absolutely guaranteed to prevent unauthorised access or use of your information.
We ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, any sensitive personal information (e.g., information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, sexual orientation, criminal background, or membership in trade unions) on or through the App or otherwise to us.
Ads appearing in our App may be delivered to Users by advertising partners, who may set cookies or use device identifiers. These identifiers allow the ad network to recognise your device each time it sends you an online advertisement, in order to compile non-personal identification information about you or others who use your device. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. These Terms do not cover the use of cookies or identifiers by any advertisers. We use Google AdSense and Facebook Audience Network SDK for advertisements in our App. We do not collect any personally identifiable data through these ad networks.
Some of the ads may be served by Google. Google's use of advertising identifiers enables it to serve ads to Users based on their visits to our App and other apps. These identifiers use "non-personally identifiable information" and do NOT track personal information about you, such as your name, email address, or physical address.
We use the Facebook Audience Network SDK to display advertisements within the App. Facebook may collect and use information in accordance with its own data policy. We encourage you to review Meta's Privacy Policy for more information on how your data may be used.
PlantSnap: Plant Identifier is provided for informational purposes only. Plant identification results are generated using AI and may not always be accurate. Do not rely on the App as a substitute for professional advice, especially regarding the edibility, toxicity, or medicinal use of any plant. We are not liable for any harm resulting from reliance on the App's identification results.
These Terms may change from time to time. We will post any changes on this page, so please review them periodically. We may provide you additional forms of notice of modifications or updates as appropriate under the circumstances.
If you do not agree to any modifications to these Terms, your sole recourse is to immediately stop all use of the App. Your continued use of the App following the posting of any modifications to these Terms will constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms.
